About the Job
The Goddard School in Springboro is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator. Our facility is a state-of-the-art 20,000 sq. ft. building with 10 classrooms, half court gym, mirrored gross motor room and 3 separate playgrounds. The Curriculum Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation of educational programs and maintaining high-quality instruction throughout the School. This role provides leadership, coaching, and support to teachers while promoting a positive learning environment that fosters children's academic, social, and emotional growth. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, enjoys mentoring others, and is committed to helping both teachers and children reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum & Instruction:
  • Ensure teachers effectively implement lesson plans and curriculum standards.
  • Monitor classroom instruction to ensure educational goals and learning objectives are met.
  • Provide guidance on lesson planning, instructional strategies, and classroom management techniques.
  • Evaluate and recommend curriculum enhancements to improve student outcomes.
Teacher Coaching & Development:
  • Observe classrooms and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
  • Coach, mentor, and support teachers in professional growth and development.
  • Model best teaching practices and instructional techniques.
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new staff members.
  • Facilitate professional development opportunities and ongoing staff education.
Student Support:
  • Assist teachers in meeting the individual learning needs of children.
  • Support the development and implementation of interventions for students who require additional assistance.
  • Promote positive learning experiences and student engagement.
  • Monitor children's progress and collaborate with teachers and families when concerns arise.
Behavior Management & Discipline:
  • Support teachers in implementing positive behavior management strategies.
  • Assist in addressing student discipline concerns and resolving classroom challenges.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and families to promote appropriate student behavior.
Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Build strong relationships with teachers, students, and families.
  • Maintain open communication with administration regarding program needs and classroom performance.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, licensing requirements, and educational standards.
  • Participate in meetings, planning sessions, and school events as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field required.
  • Previous teaching experience required.
  • Prior leadership, coaching, or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to mentor, motivate, and support teaching staff.
  • Demonstrated commitment to student success and educational excellence.

Compensation:
  • $55,000 - $58,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • 2 weeks floating and 1 week fixed paid time off.
